19 months

Lucy;
First off, you have definately got to be the funniest person I have ever met. You are so funny and just full of characther. We can't stop laughing around you, your facial expressions and reactions to everything is classic. These past few months you have become my own little bud. I think you are me, just in tiny form. My mother and grandma say that when I was your age, I acted the exact same as you.
But we have become so close and I have felt so connected to you. You are the sweetest girl. You love and adore Dexter. He is your idol. You love Phoebe so much, you are so sweet and funny with her.
You love Jarom, Grandpa Craigy. You are always teasing them.
You are so fun and make me so happy.

Crazy soft thing

I haven't wrote much to you as of yet, I don't know why. I think I just always feel so connected to you and you are so much like me that I think you just get it. That made sense right. You have always just been ready to go so I think that is how I look at the rest of your life, you are just ready to go. You have way to much energy and want to experience life. You have been amazing in your first year. We all got hid with the best surprise when we got Phoebe and you just quickly pre-grew up for it and you were ready. I think you knew more of what was going on and was ready for it. You are best friends with Dexter and Phoebe equally. You love Dexter so much and you always have to know where Phoebe is and take care of her.
You are so independent and kind of crazy. You do your own thing at your quick pace, It is so sweet when we see your shy attached side which we forget is there at times because of your go attitude. Lately you have been so into dolls and nurturing. I have watched you in nursery and I am so shocked with your soft nurture gentle ways. It really is amazing to watch how much you have learned from watching me and with Phoebe. You are so hiddenly attached to us, you love too much. You are so funny and the best little thing to have around. You love so many people in your life and interact and express your love to them all the time.
We love and adore you and I really do see so much of myself in you. You are me and I feel so connected and a part of you.
You make us laugh so much, I will often find myself laughing out loud at something you just did. Your crazy fun. You keep going and just be you.

Lucy, you are one of the best part of my days. Each day I get home from work I can't wait to see you. I love just watching you, you do the funniest things, have the funniest character and are just all out crazy. You are so creative and so silly funny. Your a tough cookie, not much phases you, you have no attention span, you are always on to the next best thing. You are a funny girl, so loving, so funny and the best.

Lucy, so much has changed for you in the past month. You kind of got ripped off being the youngest for such a short amount of time. Dexter got to enjoy 3 years and you only got one year. You went off formula, changed car seats and have been walking for a good 4 months now. Since we have gotten Phoebe you have had to grow up, although you don't notice one bit. You were amazing with the addition of your sister. Just so natural and you had that instant love also. From the moment you met her you have been so excited. Every time you see her you are so soft and so funny. You give her about 20 kisses a day. You have not had one moment of jealousy.

I have even held other babies and you are not ok with that. But with Phoebe, you know her, you know your sister. Grandma Lorraine said you and her were best friends in heaven and could not be apart and that is why you are so close in age and how Phoebe came so quickly.

I never had a sister and that is the one thing in my life I wish I had. How much nicer it would have been to grow up with a constant best friend. I really did feel alone alot growing up with 4 brothers and great parents that didn't understand girls. I am so happy and thankful that you will get that special bond throughout your life.

I am amazed at you Lucy, you love life, you are so funny, you just entertain yourself and are happy as long as you can see us. You are never grumpy, just the happiest person in the world. You have been amazing with all your changes, you just take what is thrown at you. You are a strong person and full of so much love. You adore your sister, you loved her instantly and I really think you were prepared for this better than we were. You knew what was going on, your little spirit is still so close to heaven that you remember. I am so glad you got your little friend, your sister to help you through life. I love that you will have that bond that I didn't get. You two planned this out perfectly.

It's safe to swallow

Dexter it the poster child of commercials. He remembers everything he sees. One day he kept telling me about how Lucy needs a toothbrush even though she is little. He kept telling me that it is safe to swallow. Of course he saw this on a commericial. He kept bothering me about it. I told him he could get it for Lucy for her birthday. Right after that, what commercial is on TV, the baby toothbrush and toothpaste. I assure him we will get it later for Lucy's birthday. Dexter says, "Good idea." Later that night Dexter and I went to Walgreens and what is the first thing he sees, the toothbrush and toothpaste. Dexter begs for it, we get his sister his gift 3 weeks early. I love that Dexter always thinks of others. Most kids would only find things that they would want, but Dexter is always thinking of other. I thought it was so cute that he wanted to get this for his sister Lucy. When we got home, he wanted his and Lucy's pajamas on so they could brush their teeth. Dexter taught Lucy how to brush here teeth, and every few nights he always remembers to brush her teeth.

Love

You are the happiest kid in the world. Nothing makes you mad. You do let us know when you need something, but you rarely cry. From day one the only thing that you have needed is a love. The first time that Daddy was getting up with you in the night. He could not get you comfortable and to stop crying. He said he changed you twice and fed you, he came to me in desperation for help. I said all that you needed was a love. He wrapped you up and cuddled you and you went right to sleep. That is how you have been from day one.
Your a mobile kid, not that needy of us from the looks of it. You just have to know we are there, the second we are out of sight, you are mad. As long as you have us; you are so happy. But throughout your playing and running around, every few minutes you run to one of us and give us a hug, love, kiss constantly. You even hit up Dexter a few times throughout the day. He loves it. He said you are his best sister ever. Last night I came home from work and I got about 20 hugs from you. I started crying because I really did feel the love you have for me. You are such a sweet girl and have so much personality. You are so loving to everyone. Except Jarom, you kind of tease; pick on him. Very funny.

Confidence

Goose girl, It is your birthday week. You are turning 1 this week. This past year has flown by. You are the funniest, happiest baby ever. You are never grumpy, no fits and just happy to have your peeps around you. You are so amibitious and just go for it. There really isn't nothing that holds you back. You just go.

You love your daddy, your dexter and mommy. You adore grandma Lorraine and would take her over us. You tease; pick on Jerm. You are warming up to Pat and Carl. You are so funny with grandpa Craigy.

You love books, dolls and blankets. You don't stay still. You just go! Going anywhere with you is kind of impossible. That is the only time you voice your complaints. Is when you can't go where you want to go.

I have seen you eat dirt, egg shells, playing in the toilet, sitting in mud and none of it phases you. You love it. You have the funniest low growly voice, just like your cousin Ethan.

Yesterday me and Dexter were outside playing in the yard. Dexter found a stink bug that used to terrify him when he was your age. I asked Dexter what Lucy would do if she saw the bug. He said you would eat it. That was the answer I was looking for and exactly what I thought you would do.

That sums up your crazy nuts personality. You are so funny, so lovable and have made us so happy. We all love you way to much. You are our goose girl. Your nuts! Your crazy! Your amazing! Your beautiful, gorgeous and so cute. You have so much natural beauty. Which is good because I can't keep a bow or clip in your hair for my life. You will look at me sneakily and yank that clip right out of your hair and run. I try, but you don't need it. You are stinker cute all by yourself. You are confident and don't need all the fluff. That will save you alot of time later in life. You will just be you and not worry about the little things that so many think are big and important.

You just go! I love the big confident person you are. You are tough and won't let no-one push you around. You were around Cameron your 3 year old cousin. You put your arms around him and took him down. He cried and ran to his mom and you went on happily. Your amazing.

8 months old

Lucy,

You have hit your 8 month mark and it has flown and gone by so fast.  I felt I was pregnant forever with you and it is amazing it is now.   I thought you were going to be my mellow, very chill baby.  That is how you seemed in the womb.  But I think it is true girls like to talk and express themselves.  Everyone says girls are moody and you can see it from the get go.  You are the happiest, happiest baby ever.  You are by far the cutest baby I have ever seen.  Grandma Lorraine always says you got in the cute line twice. 
You are crazy nuts and so funny.  You are just so happy, never grumpy, no fits, nothing.  I hope this will always be the case.  You do not stay still for a moment.  You are a go-er.  You have made us so happy, you are already so close to your brother Dexter and you are attached to your daddy.  You whine, and cry when Curtis leaves the room and the second you get your Daddy you just love and cuddle him.  It really is the cutest thing ever.  You are amazing and we love you so much.

You started crawling at 6 months, standing and 7 and going at 8.  What kid does that, you are going to be walking in a couple weeks.  Crazy.
